Located within a medieval Scottish church, the Tarbat Discovery Centre illustrates Dark Age life and provides interpretive support for a program of excavations that have uncovered one of Europe's largest Pictish settlements.

At the heart of the centre is the Treasury Gallery. with a display of excavated items and Pictish sculptures dating from the 8th century. The Centre is unique in the Highlands through its use of modern, high quality materials and state-of-the-art audio-visual installations within an historic ecclesiastical environment.
